THE DEAD DAISIES - THE BAND SET TO BURN IT DOWN IN 2018

THE DEAD DAISIES announce new Album BURN IT DOWN via Spitfire Music / SPV – Release April 6th, 2018

BURN IT DOWN is a muscular tour-de-force, a tornado of pounding drums, pulverizing bass, screaming guitars and in-your-face raw vocals. Evoking the best of 70s Rock, with moments of Birmingham's finest, blended with the early works of Boston's best, On April 06, 2018 'Burn It Down' will do just that: Burn down everything in it's path until there is nothing left standing.

Recorded in Nashville with Marti Frederiksen at the helm, the band finished their 4th studio album 'Burn It Down' in December, with Anthony Focx once again handling the mix and mastering legend Howie Weinberg adding his magic.

John Corabi about the new record: 'I'm extremely excited about our new record 'BURN IT DOWN'! It was a pleasure to once again work with Marti Frederiksen and the band on what I believe is the next great step in The Dead Daisies journey. This is a balls-out old school rock record!!! Enjoy it, and see you all on our massive 2018 world tour!!!! Peace, Crabby'

Doug Aldrich puts it quite simply, yet to the point: 'The new Daisies album will melt your face! It is raw and in-your-face with a whole new sound!'

With the band eager to get on the road and in true Daisies' fashion, the band announced the first of many BURN IT DOWN-TOUR dates slated for 2018 right before Christmas with fans turning out in droves at the on-sale date. Many more dates are to be announced including the band's highly anticipated return to Japan and South America!

With Deen joining the bands line-up to record the new Album, The Dead Daisies are: Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio), John Corabi (Motley Crue, The Scream), Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy), Deen Castronovo (Bad English, Journey) and David Lowy (Red Phoenix, Mink).

One thing is for certain: within a short amount of time, The Dead Daisies have made a massive impression on the rock scene and managed to garner the one thing that every band desires but only so few ever have: HARD CORE FANS! They love the Daisies and the Daisies love them back!

Rock is indeed alive and well!!!

CAUSE & EFFECT: MOTLEY CRUE ~ AUTHOR CHRIS AKIN EXPLORES THE IMPACT OF THIS MONUMENTAL YET TUMULTUOUS RELEASE ON MOTLEY CRUE FANS

By Chris Akin CLEVELAND - Acclaimed rock critic and controversial host of The Classic Metal Show Chris Akin has authored his latest book CAUSE & EFFECT: MOTLEY CRUE due November 24.

"MOTLEY CRUE '94 has been the subject of conversation with so many people in my life," states Chris Akin "since the day it was released back in March of '94. That has never waned. Even after all this time, there are people with such hard opinions of it one way or the other. For me, writing CAUSE & EFFECT: MOTLEY CRUE allowed me to share thoughts and feelings about this monumental release with a larger portion of people that still care after all this time. Whether it's remembering personal stories that many of these songs had or revisiting the history of MOTLEY CRUE in their most tumultuous moment, CAUSE & EFFECT: MOTLEY CRUE allowed me to share the experience of one of my all-time favorite releases with the masses."

Chris Akin continues his series of cause/effect books. "The first was about Metallica's BLACK album, said Akin.  "The other titles I'm working on are about Judas Priest's TURBO, Megadeth's RISK and Nine Inch Nails' THE FRAGILE.  I wanted to write these to profile releases that changed something dramatically. With the BLACK album, it changed not only Metallica's fanbase, but how heavy music was played on the radio.  With the second book in the series MOTLEY CRUE, it divided the fanbase, as well as leading all their contemporaries down a path that failed nearly all of them.  That said, with this album, it's my favorite thing that says "MOTLEY CRUE" on the cover.  I think the public just got it wrong with this one."

http://www.spreaker.com/user/talkingmetal/1on1-mitch-lafon-122-john-corabi

John sits down with Mitch to discuss the band's latest album REVOLUCION, joining the band, his 'audition' gigs with the band in Cuba, continuing his solo career, working with Mick Mars, the KILLER DWARFS' Russ Dwarf, his time with RATT and Motley Crue and much more.

On Mötley Crüe wanting to change the name of the band when he joined: "That album would have been massive had it been any other name, but Mötley. The band wanted to change the name. There was NC for New Crüe. Nikki had always wanted to call a band, Christmas. We didn't want to call it Mötley Crüe."

This episode is co-hosted by FIREHOUSE guitarist, Bill Leverty.
