SKID ROW Sign Global Deal With Australia's Golden Robot Records

New Music To Be Released Late 2019

The world’s fastest growing independent rock label, Golden Robot Records, continues it’s upward trajectory into 2019. Starting the year off with a bang, the label recently welcomed guitar icons John Sykes and Gilby Clarke to the family as well as Alt Rockers, Trope, and is now thrilled to announce their latest signing!

Golden Robot Records is pleased to welcome hard rock legends Skid Row to their already impressive roster of artists!  The band recently signed a worldwide deal with Golden Robot Records, which will see their long anticipated forthcoming new album and first with new frontman ZP Theart released later this year.

'We are beyond excited to announce that we have signed with Golden Robot Records. The label is the perfect balance between old-school way of thinking with digital age sensibilities. We can think of no better company to release our third chapter of United World Rebellion and our first record with ZP” says Skid Row bassist, Rachel Bolan.

'We are honoured to welcome Skid Row to the GRR family they have always remained true to their fans with authenticity and passion. We are more than excited to be part of their next chapter and journey with a brand new album!' Mark Alexander-Erber, Golden Robot Entertainment Group Founder and President.

Skid Row burst onto the scene with their iconic self titled debut album in 1988. Fuelled with enough punk and metal attitude to take down any band on the West Coast but enough melody to battle them for airplay dominance.  Top Ten singles, Gold and Platinum sales in too many countries to count and a #1 album on the Billboard chart! They ruled the world for the next 8 years until an ill advised South American tour in 1996 brought the party to an end. The band was finished, but the core camaraderie never died.

In 2000 Skid Row returned to the big stage. Opening for Kiss, they were reinvigorated. Supercharged underdogs who needed to come out fighting to prove themselves once more. With a new frontman the renewed Skid Row played hundreds of shows, with every night being a hard fought battle to win new fans and convince the old ones they still had it. Two albums and two EP's later, the war was won, Skid Row have reestablished their position as one of rocks finest acts with authenticity and the fact they have stayed totally true to themselves and their fans.

With the current musical climate the way it is, Skid Row will continue down the EP path. “The idea really appealed to me,” says Bolan, “especially with the constantly changing musical climate.  I like the idea of a steady flow of new music, as opposed to releasing a full-length album then riding it for the next two years.

Armed with powerhouse vocalist ZP Theart, Skid Row in 2019 is as potent as ever. The twin guitar attack of Dave ’Snake Sabo and Scotti Hill is as legendary as any other classic duo and they are cemented in place by the massive driving force of Rachel Bolan on bass and Rob Hammersmith at the back on drums.

The band are currently in the studio recording the third in their United World Rebellion EP series and it will be released via Golden Robot Records in late 2019.

Skid Row will be playing in Europe throughout June and July appearing on festivals including Bang Your Head and Rockhard in Germany, Download UK, Norway RockSweden Rock and more!

Plus, Golden Robot Records boasts an incredible line up of Aussie acts, led by Rose TattooThe SuperjesusMisex and featuring Steve KilbeyPalace Of The KingJailbirdsFyre ByrdThe KidsDestrendsFlickertail and many more.  Watch out for more incredible names who will be joining GRR’s international roster in the near future!

KARO To Release 'Heavy Birthday II & III' June 14

Berlin-based hard rock outfit KARO put out their only album release “Heavy Birthday“ in 1988. Praised by critics and fans alike their melodic but somehow rough style was met by great songwriting and musical talent. It has since been an open secret that KARO recorded more than thirty songs between 1987 and 1989 of which only ten ended up on their debut. Whereas Robert „Karo“ Straub played keyboard in Morgenrot and Lutz Salzwedel (v) fronted Karusell, both having German lyrics, Salzwedel later on put out several records under the name of Dan Lucas and recently won The Voice Of Germany Senior, it was the talent of Erich Holstein (g) that literally ignited the band KARO. Soon after recordings in Berlin and Frankfurt with producers Peter Hauke and Andy Lunn took place.

Recordings in London followed. Especially working on the songs “One Of A Kind“, “Sister Sister“ and “Wanna Be Loved“ in London with producer Tony Platt, who then already had worked with AC/DC, was quite an experience for the band and obviously brought attention, too. The idea of going there for production was to give the band more of an international sound. KARO right away played support shows for Meat Loaf but was dropped by the label in 1989.

The idea to put out “Heavy Birthday II & III“ as a double-decker CD was born. All tracks featured on any Karo release have been recorded within those three years of activity. With Holstein and Bosien having passed away already, this is the ultimate legacy of KARO. „This way KARO comes full circle“, says „Karo“ Straub.

Since 2010 MelodicRock Records has been at the forefront of some of the best melodic music made available to fans.

It has been a great honor to be a part of each and every release – whether it be championing a new artist; digging something out of the vaults; or a brand-new release from an established act.

2019 sees MRR reach the milestone of 100 releases. So what better way to celebrate the milestone than a compilation of the artists featured on MRR.

This however, isn’t your average ‘best of’ affair – this compilation will feature songs that didn’t make the albums MRR released – hence the title ‘Left Off The First 99’.

‘Left Off The First 99’ will offer a range of bonus tracks featured from the first 99 releases, plus some exclusive unreleased tracks from the recording sessions that spawned those albums.

MRR100 is a 2CD set priced at $25 (including airmail shipping) and is strictly limited to 500 units.

::: Former SAGA and FINAL FRONTIER singer Rob Moratti releases solo album on June 21st, 2019! :::

Rob Moratti is a genuine and true original. With an astonishing range, he's carved such a unique style blending the finest elements of melodic and progressive rock. “Renaissance” will be released on June 21st, 2019 and marks his first release on AOR Heaven.

He started his career professionally in the early 90's as lead vocalist and songwriter of the band Moratti; entering the new millennium with Final Frontier. They immediately were well received making an impact on the airwaves of Japan and in Europe. Rob's future went forward with Final Frontier, soaring out four incredible melodic pieces.

Over the years in spite of all the changes in the music scene, Rob's perseverance and passion stood strong. His fate is so undeniable it captured the attention of multi-platinum selling and legendary progressive rock band SAGA. In 2008 the official announcement was made that Rob Moratti would become the new voice of Saga and at the age of 42 Rob's destiny would evolve.

Today his solo career has taken off quite well. Now in 2019, the singer is about to deliver his strongest solo record ever titled "Renaissance" which marks his first release with AOR Heaven. When it comes to songs, melodies, harmonies and range - as many know - Rob Moratti is in a league of his own.

D-A-D New Album 'A Prayer For The Loud' Due May 31

Artist:
Friday, May 31, 2019
Categories:
News Feed

Eight years. That’s how long it’s been since Denmark’s most celebrated rock band D-A-D released their last studio album. But now the wait is over. The band’s legion of fans can start the countdown to May 31st when the Danish rock legends unveil their latest album, 'Prayer For The Loud’. It’s been a long time coming but it has been well worth it!

The new album harks back to the core of what D-A-D does better than most: four guys who play thrilling rock music with ferocious energy, catchy songs and an infectious commitment. 'A Prayer For The Loud’ has a clear musical link to classic D-A-D albums such as ‘No Fuel Left For The Pilgrims’ and ‘Riskin’ It All’.

The band was able to pick and choose from a large selection of songs which have been distilled down to what bassist Stig Pedersen describes as the “cream of the crop”. Among the 11 tracks on ‘A Prayer For The Loud’ you’ll find songs that fit right into a vintage D-A-D mould: throbbing, adrenaline-soaked rock, big ballads and mid-tempo songs guided by strong melodies. According to the band itself, this is a contemporary D-A-D album where the quartet has refined some of their cardinal virtues. Everything superfluous has been discarded in the editing suite, cutting the sound and the band’s expression right down to the core.

This is what D-A-D have to say about their new album:

“In the past we have occasionally gone down new avenues to try out stuff that was pretty far from the heart of what we do. It’s been a lot of fun, but this time we have tried to narrow it down to the essence. This time around, we are just being who we really are. ‘A Prayer For The Loud’ is a record where the focus is on melodies and energy. We’ve made a real effort when it comes to writing the choruses and it’s resulted in some great songs where we were meticulous with the details without losing the original rawness and pure energy.”

The band worked on ‘A Prayer For The Loud’ for the past three years, while breaking off to go touring. The album was produced in familiar surroundings at Grapehouse studio in Copenhagen with longtime collaborators Nick Foss and Rune Nissen Petersen. It’s resulted in a record which the band is thrilled about.

Frontman Jesper Binzer says: “Most of all we are proud that we have nailed 11 awesome tracks that are based on where we are right now. We are not shooting in the dark here – this is straight from the heart.”

D-A-D is currently on a short arena tour which will take them to Denmark’s three biggest cities. In the wake of the release of ‘A Prayer For The Loud’ the band will tour major summer festivals in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Germany. You can see the full touring schedule here: www.d-a-d.dk/tour

‘A Prayer For The Loud’ is released May 31 on AFM Records.

TERAMAZE Announce 'Are We Soldiers' Due June 21

Melbourne prog band, Teramaze have announced that their new album Are We Soldiers will be released on June 21, 2019 via Mascot Label Group. To celebrate the announcement the Australian band also released a new video for their song “Weight Of Humanity” which was directed by Wayne Joyner.

Watch The Video For First New Track “Weight of Humanity”

The track is the first music released from their upcoming album. Pre-order NOW! smarturl.it/Teramaze

Teramaze founder, guitarist and producer Dean Wells said of the video “Weight of humanity was one of the first songs we wrote for this album and I really believe it captures the true essence of what Teramaze is artistically and lyrically. The song touches on the pressures of living in our times and what we choose to believe and accept what is true or lies. It’s one of my favorite songs from the album and Wayne did an amazing job of creating something visually stimulating that blends well with the theme of the song.”

“Australian prog has been around for a while mate,” said Wells on the recent explosion of progressive-minded rock bands from Australia, of which Melbourne’s Teramaze are surely at the forefront. “It was kick started with bands like Cog, Karnivool, and now there’s stuff like Voyager and Caligula’s Horse and Plini and things like that.”

“Funnily enough I don’t really feel that we’re really a part of that,” he continues. The thing with Teramaze is we’re a progressive band but we’re closer to progressive metal and not progressive rock. But sometimes it’s not progressive rock at all, it’s more like metal with big pop choruses. I mean I like progressive metal because it gives me the chance to write anything under the banner of Teramaze. But sometimes I like writing pop songs. And it does leak into Teramaze, it always has. A song like ‘Her Halo’ itself for example.”

‘Her Halo’, Teramaze’s 2015 album, and their first for Mascot Records, saw the band take a big step up from previous albums ‘Anhedonia’ (2012) and ‘Esoteric Symbolism’ (2014), with the UK’s Prog Magazine calling the album “Exceptional” and stating it was “one of the finest prog metal releases of recent years.” Four years later and Wells and Teramaze are back with a new album, ‘Are We Soldiers’, another step up for the Australian band. It’s still Teramaze – all huge choruses, crashing guitar chords, intricate time changes and swooping melodies – but it’s a bigger, brighter and even better Teramaze.

There’s change beyond the music for Teramaze with ‘Are We Soldiers’, with original vocalist Brett Rerekura returning to the fold, replacing Nathan Peachey, who’d sung on ‘Her Halo’. With ‘Are We Soldiers’, Dean Wells and Teramaze have delivered another excellent piece of modern progressive metal. One that will inevitably build upon the progress achieved by ‘Her Halo’.

With plans afoot for European and UK live dates for later in the year, Teramaze are a band that are going to be occupying a lot of your time in 2019 and beyond.

“’Are We Soldiers’ is a bit more weighty, and it’s a long album,” smiles a proud Wells. “But I make no apologies for that. I enjoy it, and I just hope other people do too.

A Conversation with JOHN O.REILLY

New from Dan Roth @ Music & Art Interviews

John O.Reilly, the world-class drummer from Long Island, NY, is probably most renowned for his keen sense of timing and his 15-year stint with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. But John has been on a remarkable musical journey since the early 1970's, playing with a multitude of bands and artists over the years including Blue Oyster Cult, Rainbow, O'2L, Richie Havens, Joe Lynn Turner and many others.

In 2018, John brought his collective blend of band and industry experience to Yuletide-rock sensations The Wizards of Winter, as he assumed the drum throne for their tour and upcoming new album.  While we certainly couldn't cover John's entire career in one afternoon (though we tried!), we did chat quite a bit about some of the defining points of his long and interesting career.

EDEN'S CURSE Call It A Day

Artist:

Sad news today from Paul Logue:

“It is with heavy heart that we announce that having evaluated our past and future, we have reluctantly mutually decided to bring Eden’s Curse to a natural end.

As you will hopefully agree, Eden’s Curse have always set the highest standards when it comes to songwriting, album production, artwork, live performances, set design, merchandising, social media presence and interaction with our fans.

Those high standards require significant investment of our money, our time, our families time and that of our label AFM Records.

To justify continuing this investment we must see benefits such as ever increasing:

- album sales
- concert attendances
- merchandise sales
- potential live opportunities
- booking agency & management interest

Our evaluation has lead us to this point where it is no longer desirable to continue operating as a band.

Nikola, Thorsten, Paul, Chrism and John do this with a great degree of sadness but we all recognise that this is the right decision for us at this time in our career and lives. We began our journey together as band mates and we bring it to an end as friends.

Our thirteen years together have brought us many wonderful experiences. We have been musically fulfilled beyond our wildest imagination and all of us have been dearly humbled by our wonderfully devoted and loyal fanbase.

We thank everyone dearly who has supported us, most especially Timo & Nils and all the wonderful staff at our record label AFM Records, our producer Dennis Ward, our artist Thomas Ewerhard, our great friends and colleagues Pete Newdeck and Carsten Schulz, Ryan Northrop at Metal Mayhem Music, Andrew McNeice at MelodicRock.com, Akira Sugiuchi at Spiritual Beast plus James LaBrie and Dream Theater, Pamela Moore, Liv Kristine, Doogie White, Shock City Productions and all members of Eden's Curse past and present.

Our website, online store and social media pages will remain until the end of May 2019.

They say all good things must come to an end."

So, for the last time ... STAY CURSED!
Nikola, Thorsten, Paul, Chrism & John.

First studio album by the german Heavy Metal band TURBOKILL has been announced for autumn 2019

TURBOKILL is one of the hottest and musically impressive Heavy Metal bands that Steamhammer/SPV have signed in recent years.

TURBOKILL is a new band, which singer Stephan Dietrich, formerly of Alpha Tiger, joined. Together with guitarists Ronny Schuster and Daniel Kanzler, bassist Marco 'Fox' Grünnwald and drummer Philipp 'Nafta' Dießl, they created a heavy metal monster.. Since their formation in 2017, they’ve become a real insider tip.

They put on an impressive live show, which they are continuously expanding. The signs of success are promising and the band is working hard on new songs for their first album "Vice World", which will be released in Autumn 2019.

Olly Hahn (Head of Steamhammer) has great confidence in the new SPV signing: "I am very delighted to be able to engage TURBOKILL for our label. DAMN YANKEES - The Truth Behind Their Mythical 3rd Album

Artist:
Categories:
News Feed

DAMN YANKEES remain one of the most loved American bands of the hard rock era. Two very popular albums and two tours were completed before the band split.

Recently there has once again been talk about a fabled 3rd Damn Yankees album, with one prominent American DJ claiming he had never even heard of this before, astonished with the revelation.

And there has been a lot of incorrect information posted over the years, as to what exactly was recorded and went on with DY3.

With this MelodicRock.com exclusive - for the first time, the full information and truth behind this album – what was recorded, what went wrong and why it won’t ever see the light of day.

Damn Yankees were signed to Warner Bros. in 1990. Their self-titled debut went double platinum (2 million units) and the follow up Don’t Tread in 1992 was certified Gold (500,000 units).
Aside from one additional song Bonestripper (recorded for the Nothing But Trouble soundtrack), that was it for the band.

In 1999, A&R guru John Kalodner moved back to Sony Music and reopened the Portrait Records imprint with plans to record new albums with classic artists. One of the bands he approached was Damn Yankees. A deal was signed and the band was to start writing and recording. Except they didn’t, or at least not in the way that the two previous albums were done.

Tommy Shaw was busy with Styx, so his part in the recording was considerably reduced. Michael Cartelone was also busy with Lynyrd Skynyrd.
So…in came an additional guitarist Damon Johnson, who co-wrote with Jack and even signs lead on one track and while Michael was present for some recording, Kelly Keagy also recorded some drum parts.

The band over the course of a year wrote 10 songs and recorded 11 – the extra being a cover of Sunshine Of Your Love.
The album was turned into Kalodner and Sony – who hated it. Kalodner had been battling cancer at the time, so had less input into the making of the record.
But the band weren’t happy either. None of the guys were familiar with the producer Sony had hired, Luke Ebbin who influenced the band to sound more contemporary, but the style didn’t suit.

A little-known fact was that the label sent the 11 tracks to producer Kevin Shirley, given the task to try and remix it into a record that would sound more like a Damn Yankees record should sound like.
He wasn’t able to.

I interviewed John Kalodner in the mid-2000s and asked him about the record. He stated “I didn't think it was quite good enough and at the time with 80's style rock you'd have to come up with something pretty spectacular. I was disappointed in the record mostly because of Tommy Shaw's non-participation. I say that was probably the greatest problem. Tommy was totally an integral part of it. He was busy with Styx and it was sort of my mistake because I just couldn't control him. It's one of those projects that I failed on. I mean the buck stops here. It lacked the input of Tommy Shaw.”

So the album was ditched. But only just before the full international release was planned. In fact, it was on Sony’s books in 2000 – with Sony Japan announcing a pending release on September 13, 2000.

The record was never sequenced or mastered and since then, a number of songs have appeared elsewhere among the members own projects. But there are also several tracks attributed to the Damn Yankees 3 album that weren’t in fact a part of it.
There were additional songs written – but not recorded at the time – that have also appeared on solo albums.

So what was the final track list (unsequenced) for the album?

THIS:

Even Though
Give Nobody Nothing
Too Much On My Mind
We Are The Ones
Sunshine Of Your Love
Mona Lisa
Don’t Say Goodbye
Shine On
Yes I Can
Damned If You Do
Don’t Stop Dreaming

The tracks from above that have been heard on other projects:

Damned If You Do – appeared on Ted Nugent ‘Craveman’
Yes I Can – appeared on Styx ‘Cyclorama’
Shine On – appeared on Jack Blades ‘Jack Blades’
We Are The Ones – appeared on Jack Blades ‘Jack Blades’

The rest of the tracks remain locked away in Sony’s vault.

Phil X, prolific studio guitarist, songwriter and renowned guitarist for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Bon Jovi, releases the lead single “Something To Say,” from the forthcoming studio album by his band, The Drills. The new album, featuring Drills bassist Daniel Spree, alongside Phil X and special guests (listed below), offers 6 new songs by the band and is scheduled for release on May 3rd, 2019.

Phil X And The Drills appeared in the rock music world with their first album release, “Kick Your Ass In 17 Minutes,” in September 2009. The opening track “Air Hockey Champion Of The World” established the group as serious rock contenders with an added touch of humor and a unique blend of modern rock that stated the obvious inspirations of the classic archives the band grew up on. Garnering immediate praise from critics, the band drew a global following in a short time with sales on 7 continents.

2011’s “We Bring The Rock n’ Roll” and 2012’s “We Play Instruments n’ Shit” offered a consistent stream of new music that showcased the above the board talents Phil X maintains. These have made him sought after for studio work with artists including Tommy Lee, Alice Cooper, Orianthi, Rob Zombie and Triumph among others. Cemented into the framework of modern rock music, Phil earned a slot in the band Bon Jovi, even performing on stage with the band during their 2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.

Answering an interview after the recording of Bon Jovi’s 2016 release “This House Is Not For Sale,” Phil stated that a new album would be in the making, and it would include a host of friends recording it. Gathering the tribes and being patient has made it worth the wait.

The album is titled “Stupid Good Looking,” and has the abbreviation Vol. 1 on the corner. Phil X shared with publicist Joe Dolan that with the success of this recording and the fun he’s had making it … Vol. 2 is already looking like something to come in the near future.

KING'S X
Rock Legends Enter the Studio to Record First New Album in Over a Decade
New Album Coming this Year via Golden Robot Records
Rock legends KING’S X are thrilled to announce that they are entering the studio to record their highly-anticipated new album - the first to be releeased in over a decade - scheduled to drop this year via Austrralia’s leading international independent record label, Golden Robot Records. The label announced their global signing of KING’S X in December.

Today, KING’S X enters Blacksound Studio in Pasadena, California with renowned producer Michael Parnin - recognized for his work withh a varied range of artists, from Rage Against the Machine and Missy Elliott, to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Barbara Streisand.

Commenting on how it feels to be returning to the studio after 10 years, dUg Pinnick says, “Good question! I haven’t thought about it much, been super busy. But got a ton of tunes to submit. I never know what to expect. I’m always surprised when it’s done and can see it as a whole picture. And we’re making a record after how long?! I’ve been waiting for this to happen for a very long time, and I’m totally looking forward to it.”

Jerry Gaskill adds, “It’s been a while since we’ve made a record together. I go back and forth between excitement and fear. But when it gets right down to it, I think excitement wins. I look forward to sharing all of our ideas together and seeing what comes of it all. If nothing else, it will be the next KING’S X record.”

Ty Tabor says, “I'm excited to see where we are at these days. We're all bringing ideas in.”

Michael Parnin adds about recording the new album with KING’S X“A great story in the making… As a huge fan of the band from the beginning, I am unbelievably excited to work on the next long-awaited chapter. Some of my favorite and most artistically rewarding projects have been working with dUg over the past 10 years, namely “Strum Sum Up” and the fun Hendrix Tribute Album we did together- Likewise, I’m honored andd looking forward to working with Jerry and Ty who are each masters of their craft.”

Derek Shulman, Executive Chairman of Worldwide Expansion for Golden Robot Records adds, “I am delighted to finally be able to work with one of the most respected, creative rock bands of the past 30+ years. KING’S X is not only a superb rock band with an ardent fan base, but are also a ‘musician musicians’ band. Golden Robot Records is determined to finally help KING’S X receive the worldwide recognition it fully deserves.”

Since the release of their debut record, Out Of The Silent Planet, in 1988, KING’S X released over a dozen albums that have seen them rightfully earn their place on the rock royalty family tree. Fusing progressive metal, funk and soul grooves with vocal arrangements rooted in blues, gospel and even the British Invasion era influences, KING’S X created a style all their own which continues to be an inspiration for bands to this day.

Featuring vocalist and bassist Doug Pinnick, guitarist Ty Tabor and drummer Jerry Gaskill, KING’S X have never changed their line-up, a rarity in the music world and a testament to the band and musicians and friends.

Critically acclaimed from the start, KING’S X are musician’s musicians, name-dropped by everyone from Anthrax and Suicidal Tendencies to Iron Maiden and Blue Murder for their instrumental prowess. Pearl Jam's bassist Jeff Ament even declared that "KING'S X invented grunge”. They also enjoyed a long life via the David Letterman Show with their track, “We Were Born To Be Loved” (from 1990’s Faith Hope Love), also a favorite of the Paul Shaffer’s CBS Orchestra to play during commercial breaks.

In 1992, KING’S X signed to Atlantic Records/Megaforce Records, released three albums and toured with bands as diverse as ScorpionsType O Negative and Pearl Jam. In the early 2000’s, KING’S X released three studio albums and their first official live album via Metal Blade Records. In 2005, the band signed to German-based progressive music specialty label, InsideOut Music, and released Ogre Tones, an album described as a return to the bands classic sound. KING’S X forged ahead with new albums, DVD’s and tours up until 2012, when drummer Jerry Gaskill suffered a major heart attack. The band then quickly compiled an exclusive live release from their archives entitled, Burning Down Boston. The proceeds of which went directly to assisting Gaskill with his medical expenses. They rolled on for two more years until Jerry suffered another heart attack, which resulted in him having a double bypass operation and ultimately led to the band taking an indefinite hiatus.

This break didn’t last long, as they were back on the road in mid-2015, shortly afterward announcing they would begin work on a new studio album. This would be the band’s first since 2008’s XVKING’S X began meetings with Golden Robot Records management in Los Angeles in early 2017, eventually signing a global deal in October 2018.

QUIET RIOT, BLACK SABBATH, SAIGON KICK, WAYSTED AND MORE

Marko Pukkila, former Altaria and current Stargazery and Shadow Tribe bass player, will release his
debut solo album on May 10. “Kiss My Covers” is a cover album featuring a long list of legends such as
Vinny Appice, Frankie Banali, Phil Lewis, Keri Kelli, Erik Turner, Rowan Robertson among others. The album
is a tribute to all the great bands that had a big influence on Marko´s life and musical career. Marko Pukkila has
been around the European rock scene for over two decades and has worked with a lot of renowned musicians
with whom he has toured worldwide.

A big change in Marko Pukkila´s musical career happened in 2000, when he co-founded Altaria with his former
Blindside bandmate, drummer Tony Smedjebacka. The band also featured two legendary guitarists: Jani Liimatainen

In 2005 Marko Pukkila formed a band called Wicked Outlaw together with former Dio guitarist Rowan Robertson.

In 2009 Marko Pukkila teamed up with former Europe guitarist Kee Marcello, Twisted Sister drummer AJ Pero and
Bob Gilmartin to record a song called Elephant Man for an upcoming Eric Carr album called Unfinished Business.
Elephant Man was intended for KISS'  "Revenge" album in 1992, but Eric only managed to finish the lyrics and sadly
passed away due to cancer in November of 1991. Making this recording even more touching are backing vocals by
Eric´s sister Maria and niece Sara-Jean.

Marko Pukkila has also done a lot of all-star tribute recordings, mainly for the USA market. A few years ago, he got
an idea of releasing some of the tribute recordings he has done throughout the years as a solo cover album.
The album is now finally ready to be released and it will also include some totally new recordings.

This release features current/former members of Dio, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, LA Guns, W.A.S.P. , Saigon Kick,
