ALICE COOPER Guitarist RYAN ROXIE To Release 'Imagine Your Reality' Solo Album In May

Ryan Roxie will release his new solo album, "Imagine Your Reality" on May 25 via www.bellyacherecords.com for LP pre-order. Pre-order CD at amazon.com The CD will also be available via Cargo Records UK.

The vocalist, guitarist and songwriter, who is best known as Alice Cooper's longtime lead guitarist and collaborator, has also worked with Slash, Gilby Clarke and others. Roxie will be touring in US in July before he starts Cooper's tour Aug 3 in Wisconsin.

"Imagine Your Reality" is Ryan's first official solo release and sees him joined by other noteworthy musicians, including a collaboration with CHEAP TRICK's Robin Zander on the track "California Man".

Says Roxie: "CHEAP TRICK were a major influence in my musical upbringing. Both Robin Zander and Rick Nielsen have joined us onstage at Alice Cooper shows in the past and have always been the most quintessential rock stars. In my opinion, Robin Zander's voice is the definition of rock 'n' roll, so having him guest vocal on 'California Man' definitely ticks a box off my 'greatest moments in rock 'n roll' list."

"Imagine Your Reality" continues Roxie's legacy of creating infectiously melodic songs and straight-ahead, no-nonsense rock riffs, and this time with more guitar than ever before. Ten tracks, all underlined by ten gleaming guitar solos. From the punk rock undertones of "Never Mind Me" to the un-sugarcoated tale of life in "La La Land (To Live And Die In LA)" to the superb BEATLES-y/OASIS nod "Look Me In The Eye" — it's an uplifting big rock soundd. Zander transforms "California Man" into the ultimate vintage-vibed, top-down, drive-in-the-sunshine rock 'n' roll anthem.

Ryan says: "With this album, I think we kept the spirit and power of the 3.5-minute rock song intact as well as keeping the dream of guitar-driven music alive and well. I can't wait for people to experience my reality."

The LP is currently available at www.bellyacherecords.com for pre-order and set to be released on May 25, 2018. Fans can order the LP's individually or in bundle packs with an exclusive T-Shirt and Guitar Pick pack.

“POISON is a just great American Rock and Roll Band,” declares Bob Roux, President of U.S. Concerts, Live Nation. “Along with CHEAP TRICK, this show is going to be Nothing But A Good Time –  The Full Tilt Party of the Summer. POISON and CHEAP TRICK always deliver the goods.”

Rick Nielsen, CHEAP TRICK (lead guitar) proclaims, "Another Poison/Cheap Trick Tour!!! It’s always been FUN with these guys!"

While POP EVIL singer Leigh Kakaty concludes, “This summer is going to be an exciting one for POP EVIL, that’s for sure! What a fantastic opportunity to bring our live show across the country on the big stage with such legends like POISON and CHEAP TRICK.”

POISON, fronted by reality TV superstar Bret Michaels (lead vocals/guitar), Bobby Dall (bass), Rikki Rockett (drums), CC Deville (guitars) is known around the world for their high energy, big hits, live show and is one of America's legendary Rock bands. They have sold over 40 million albums and DVDs worldwide and have sold over 15 million records in the United States alone. POISON, whose career has spanned over 25 years, may be one of the most successful independent bands to have such a long multi-Platinum career. Proof that their have fun, but get it done attitude does just that. They’ve released seven studio albums, four live albums, five compilation albums, and have issued 28 singles to radio. They’ve charted 12 singles to the Top 40 of the Billboard “Hot 100,” including six Top 10 singles "Nothin’ But A Good Time," "Talk Dirty To Me," "Unskinny Bop," and "Something To Believe In,” as well as the #1 smash hit, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Their breakthrough debut album, the multi-Platinum LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN, was released in 1986 and they hit their peak with the second album, OPEN UP AND SAY... AHH!, which became the band's most successful album, being certified five times Platinum in the U.S. The popularity continued into the new decade with their third consecutive multi-Platinum selling album, FLESH & BLOOD. In the 1990s following the release of the band's first live album, SWALLOW THIS LIVE, the band experienced some lineup changes, but despite that, the band's fourth studio album, NATIVE TONGUE, still achieved Gold status and the band's first compilation album, POISON'S GREATEST HITS: 1986–1996, went double Platinum. In the 2000s, with the original lineup back together, the band found new popularity after a successful greatest hits reunion tour in 1999.The band celebrated their 20-year anniversary with “The Best of Poison: 20 Years of Rock” tour and album, which was certified Gold and marked POISON's return to the Billboard Top 20 charts for the first time since 1993. Throughout the years, Bret Michaels has released several chart topping solo albums and starred in some of the highest rated, record breaking reality TV shows on NBC, ABC and VH1. A philanthropist, the type 1 diabetic, Michaels has donated a portion of the proceeds from his latest single, “Jorja Bleu,” to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and through is Life Rocks Foundation supports many other charitable causes. After more than 30 years, the band is still recording music and performing live to audiences around the world.

CHEAP TRICK: Robin Zander (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick Nielsen (lead guitar) and Tom Petersson (bass guitar) are part of the very fiber of American music, inspiring and delighting generations with their unique union of massive melodies and razorblade riffs, their own special brand of mischievous wit and maximum rock ‘n’ roll. Since the ‘70s, they’ve been blending elements of pop, punk and even metal in a way that is instantly catchy and recognizable. With timeless classics such as “I Want You to Want Me” and “Surrender,” CHEAP TRICK, now with drummer Daxx Nielsen, are a musical institution. The Rockford, IL band is as vital today as ever, having released three records in the last three years -- BANG ZOOM CRAZY...HELLO (2016), WE’RE ALL ALRIGHT (2017) and CHRISTMAS CHRISTMAS (2017) –and toured relentlessly to packed audiences around the world. 2016 saw CHEAP TRICK's long-awaited induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The induction honored both the band and the pioneering sound that has earned them total record sales well in excess of 20 million featured appearances and more than 40 international Gold and Platinum certifications. 2017’s WE'RE ALL ALRIGHT! was yet another undisputed triumph for the band as the album's first single, "Long Time Coming," enjoyed an unprecedented run of 18 weeks at #1 on the Mediabase Classic Rock chart.

POP EVIL:  Leigh Kakaty (vocals), Dave Grahs (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Nick Fuelling (lead guitar, backing vocals), Matt DiRito (bass, backing vocals), Hayley Cramer (drums)—will release their fifth self-titled album February 16 on Entertainment One. Produced by Kato Khandwala, POP EVIL captures Kakaty and his bandmates at their most inspiring. Every song on the album offers a different spin on the concept behind the band’s name and in an era when many rock bands create a few strong singles, and six or seven less memorable songs and call it an album. POP EVIL is all killer, no filler – the best 11 songs culled from 30 demos. It’s a surging, contemporary sounding release that incorporates metal, alternative, hard rock and even some electronic music. In the wake of the band’s peppy, upbeat 2015 album UP, which debuted #1 on the Independent Artist Billboard Album Chart, it went on to produce their biggest single to date, “Footsteps.” It’s a wake-up call, a musical rebirth that inspired the band to self-title the release, partially since they’d never done so. ONYX the bands best-selling album to date was POP EVIL’s breakthrough album that features three straight #1 Rock Singles, “Trenches”, “Deal with the Devil” and “Torn To Pieces.” Their first album, LIPSTICK ON THE MIRROR, came out in 2008 (leading to iTunes naming them "Top New Artists of '08"), and while it introduced listeners to the band’s core sound with well-received singles like “Hero” and “100 in a 55,” POP EVIL has grown exponentially since then.

CHEAP TRICK Debuts 'Long Time Coming' Single From 'We're All Alright!' Album

New CHEAP TRICK Album 'We're All Alright!' due June 16.

"Y'know, we always write, but it's more fun to write for a project and write for a reason," guitarist Rick Nielsen tells Billboard. "We have a company (Big Machine Records) that believes in us and they like the work and they're letting us make more records, which is cool. Making records is one of the ambitions we've always had. I don't think the desire has ever gone away."

Cheap Trick recorded We're All Alright! -- whose title, of course, references the 1978 hit "Surrender" and 1999's "That '70s Song" -- with Julian Raymond, who also helmed Bang, Zoom, Crazy...Hello. Its 10 tracks (13 on the deluxe edition) hail from the group's past and present, with older, previously unrecorded songs such as "Radio Lover," "Lolita" and "She's Alright" sitting alongside material written and recorded specifically for the album.

"Long Time Coming," a crunchy hard rocker driven by a Kinks-flavored riff, is a bit of a one-song tribute to Cheap Trick's influential forebears. "It's our interpretation of Slade and MC5 and AC/DC and Aerosmith -- a lot of riffs that are reminiscent of the Move, but they're not steals," Nielsen says. "It's just, like, all the bands we like." The song also features a synthesizer underbelly that was a signature in "Surrender," "Dream Police" and other Cheap Trick songs.

Nielsen, meanwhile, says another new album in 2018 is a distinct possibility. "Starting in May we're going back in the studio," he says. "There's stuff around and there's some ideas that never did get fleshed out, which we hope to. It's exciting."

We're All Alright! will be available for pre-order starting May 5, with "Long Time Coming" and "Lolita" as instant grat tracks. Both songs are available now for individual purchase, and the group will offer more early purchase perks via a PleadgeMusic campaign.  Meanwhile, Cheap Trick will be promoting the album with a summer tour with Foreigner and John Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience; Foreigner and Cheap Trick will both be celebrating 40th anniversaries, Cheap Trick for the release of its first two albums in 1977.

The full track list for We're All Alright! features:

BOSTON BRINGS ROAR OF APPROVAL IN SOLDOUT CONCERT IN LOS ANGELES

By Gerry Gittelson

Melodicrock.com Los Angeles correspondent

LOS ANGELES -- Boston was not treated especially well here at melodicrock.com in terms of reviewing the band's new CD 'Life, Love & Hope' ' and rightfully so because the album is a far cry from what the legendary band once was all about ' but thank god for a back catalog overflowing with incredible songs, mostly from Boston's pre-1990 era.

Led by guitarist Tom Scholz, Boston is touring again, and the group absolutely tore it up on Tuesday, July 29 in a soldout performance before more than 17,000 spectators at the Forum in Los Angeles.

Boston stuck mostly to all the classic hits, mixing in only a small handful of new songs, and the crowd ate it up. My gosh, we have not witnessed a band that sounded this good with such incredible dynamics in a long time.

Opening with a roaring version of 'Rock & Roll Band,' Boston proved ultra-tight and utterly clean, partially thanks to the building's revamped, high-tech PA system, and the place was going wild. Then came 'Smokin'' and 'Feelin' Satisfied,' and at that point Boston had total control of the room.

The last time we had seen Boston live in Los Angeles, new vocalist Tommy DeCarlo was just starting out, having been discovered on youtube, and back then he was overweight and without the charisma to be a frontman for such a majestic band ' and co-lead singer Michael Sweet (now gone) also sucked that night ' but wow what a difference a few years has made. This time, DeCarlo was a different man, well-fit and confident, and my goodness he sang well as a replacement for the late Brad Delp, who was about as irreplaceable as a lead singer could be.

The songs were tuned down a step or so ' as is the case with most classic-rock bands this side of Journey ' but except for failing to hit the very highest notes like on 'Peace of Mind' and a few others, DeCarlo was right in the groove.

On 'Don't Look Back,' Scholz was his usual dominant self, the lanky guitarist tearing his way through the classic radio hit -- including that unforgettable mid-song guitar riff -- and he was Eddie Van Halen-like when he broke into a guitar solo about an hour into the spectacle.

Co-guitarist Gary Pihl proved impressive, too, and with a total of seven players up there making music, Boston put on a show that was richly dramatic and geared toward optimum audience enjoyment.

Everything was going splendidly until former American idol finalist Siobhan Magnus jumped on stage towards the end for 'Walk On' and almost ruined the whole thing with her screaming ' guess Scholz is just too nice to say no ' but the momentum was back in Boston's hands with 'Foreplay/Longtime,' then an encore of 'Party' to finish the evening with an exclamation point.

Overall, a five-star performance. This is about as good as it gets in the classic-rock circuit.

Openers Cheap Trick proved great, too. Robin Zander has never sounded better, and oh what a treat it was to hear well-executed versions of 'Ain't That a Shame,' 'California Man,' 'Surrender, 'Dream Police' and of course 'I Want You to Want Me.'

Zany guitarist Rick Nielsen appeared to be having the time of his life, jumping around the stage, switching guitars and throwing out an endless stream of guitar picks.
