Richie Kotzen discusses The Winery Dogs' second album, Hot Streak, as well as looking back on his first two solo records, the importance of Mike Varney and Shrapnel records to his career, his friendship with famed guitarist Jason Becker, working and recording with Billy Sheehan and drummer Pat Torpey as a trio before the existence of The Winery Dogs, being on the 'Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey: Music from the Motion Picture' soundtrack, recording for Gene Simmons' A**hole album, his new Richie Kotzen LIVE DVD and more.
Quote from the interview: "I'm not a metal guy. I have no interest in playing heavy metal. I really loved metal when I was 12 and 13. I listened to Maiden and Black Sabbath, but I have a lot more to offer musically than that."
Our second interview is with Matt Young of Australian metal band KING PARROT. He discusses the band's latest album, Dead Set, touring with Cattle Decapitation, would he mainstream the band's sound for greater commercial success and more.
