TRIXTER Drummer MARK GUS SCOTT Steps Out Front

NEW JERSEY, August 26, 2019 -- After Rocking the World with MTV hair band Trixter for three decades, former NJ resident Mark Gus Scott steps out from behind the drums to stand center stage for his lead vocal debut and share something very special. The rock star turned adult contemporary solo artist's latest release "With You..." is an emotional, passionate and heartfelt ballad the likes of which will never be expected by his ever-growing constituency of fans.

“For the past few years, I have pursued music outside of Rock and Roll in hopes of touching just one person. To be on the receiving end of so much love and support from so many around the world is a gift I never expected,” says Scott.

"With You..." combines an 80's-style power ballad piano riff, symphonic orchestration and powerful melodic hooks all providing a platform for deep emotional poetry that truly moves the soul.
Listeners will not be ready for the soaring and soulful hook-filled melodies backed by enormous “angelic” background harmonies; definitely a huge surprise coming from one of rock's hardest-hitting drummers.

"With You..." releases Worldwide on Thursday, September 12th and promises to deliver something very special to today's musical landscape; adding a great deal of credibility to Mark's platinum sales
status. CDs / Downloads are available through Apple iTunes, Amazon Music, Google Music, CD Baby and everywhere downloads are available.
Personally Autographed CDs are available at www.MarkGusScott.com

Trixter’s Mark Gus Scott Salutes America's Veterans

For a guy who has visited and performed on every major military base in the US, Mark Gus Scott shows no signs of loosing support for America's Military Heroes.  The rock star met with several military officials on his recent tour of Washington DC and filming of his latest video hit, "Ave Maria". The video shows Mark performing amongst numerous iconic DC landmarks, most notably the World War II Memorial. Ave Maria is the first single from Mark’s forthcoming holiday album entitled "Christmas Miracle" due out on Thanksgiving. Mark also makes it a habit to perform Taps at numerous cemeteries in the New York City and Phoenix Arizona area to honor fallen heroes during Veterans Day and Memorial Day holidays.

As the wild and charismatic drummer for the internationally renowned rock band "Trixter", Mark “Gus” Scott has sold well over 3 million albums worldwide, he has accumulated an extremely large press book, but most importantly... He has played in front of millions of people around the world.  Other major accomplishments include Three #1 Videos on MTV (15 weeks at #1), Four “Top 20” AOR Radio Hits as well as a “Top 40” Album on the Billboard Charts (#26).

Trixter toured extensively in the United States, Canada and Japan in support of their major label releases. They have performed live in arenas with crowds up to 30,000 people, in addition to appearing live on television and radio. The tours have included such rock superstars as: Kiss, The Scorpions, Poison, Warrant, Slaughter, Great White, Firehouse as well as many MTV and movie personalities. Mark attained much notoriety, largely in part to network television appearances, three #1 videos on MTV and hundreds of worldwide publications and periodicals.

As a member of the Hollywood/NY All-Stars, Mark participated in countless charity events, as well as making personal appearances with President Donald Trump, Treat Williams, Jack Scalia, Jason Gedrick, Gregory Harrison and Regis Philbin.

While just a sophomore in high school, Mark received the NAJE Special Citation for Musical Excellence and was granted admission to the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music. He attended three summers studying piano, drums, trumpet and a curriculum that included jazz, classical, chamber music, rock, music theory and composition. Mark also put his knowledge to use not only as a musician/songwriter, but also touring high schools and colleges throughout the country as a guest lecturer, teaching and promoting his drum instructional video and teaching method, “Rock Solid”.

Mark's Solo EP "Christmas Miracle" is scheduled for release on Thanksgiving 2017! ALL PROCEEDS from the first single, "Ave Maria", will be donated to Hope 4 Kids International.

"Ave Maria" single release - November 2017.

You’d have to be almost dead not to get caught up in the infectious fun that is Tokyo Motor Fist. The name might conjure up thoughts of an ancient form of Japanese bondage, but at least they didn’t name themselves Trixter Danger.
Yes, the most talented Steve Brown (Trixter, Guitar) and the always flamboyant Ted Poley (Danger Danger, vocals) team with the rhythm section of Greg Smith (Ted Nugent, Rainbow, Alice Cooper) and Chuck Burgi (Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult, Joe Lynn Turner) for what amounts to a meeting of the New Jersey chapter of the Melodic Rock Mafia, to create an infectious slice of classic 80s melodic rock that you just have to rock along with.

While the album may not have the polish of a major 80s budget, it does pass the crankability test and shines when at maximum volume.
Following his great recent solo album, Ted Poley again delivers a powerhouse vocal while Steve Brown provides the backbone of the sound, his soulful guitar playing filling the air between hooks and choruses. The album is also a tribute to his songwriting prowess.
For the most part this delivers exactly what you’d expect – a mix of modern day Trixter’s smart melodic rock and Danger Danger’s hands in the air party anthems.

Look no further than the opening salvo of Pickin' Up The Pieces, Love Me Insane, Gimme Your Good Lovin Shameless and Black And Blue to deliver plus the moody feel good ballads Love, Get You Off My Mind and Don’t Let Me Go work to balance the record and provide breathing space between the rockers.
You're My Revolution brings out the double kick drums for a rousing tempo boost, but its Put Me To Shame and Done To Me where Steve Brown’s connection to Def Leppard seems to get dialled up. For a minute I thought I was listening to Sweden’s Leppard loving Grand Design.

How could fans of the two principle artists not be happy with this? It delivers exactly what you might have been hoping for, perhaps exceeding expectations with the strong hooks and great performances.
No complaints here and given the positive fan reaction so far, one would have to think that this will develop further just as the ‘other’ D2 side project The Definants has.

TOKYO MOTOR FIST Announce Their Debut Album

Friday, February 24, 2017
Categories:
News Feed

You don’t need to be a die-hard '80s metal fan to know that the fruits of an artistic alliance between Danger Danger singer Ted Poley and guitarist/producer Steve Brown of TRIXTER is going to make melodic rock fans rejoice! The two musicians from New Jersey have recently created TOKYO MOTOR FIST and the new band is ready to unleash on the world their self-titled debut album on February 24, 2017 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Indeed, Tokyo Motor Fist is exactly what you would expect: catchy and uplifting hard rock, the way is should be! You want big – we mean, BIG - hooks? You got ‘em. What about major guitar riffs? Of course there’s plenty of those. Killer rhythm section? Well, with Greg Smith (Ted Nugent, Rainbow, Alice Cooper) and Chuck Burgi (Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult, Joe Lynn Turner) you simply can’t go wrong!

Ted and Steve have been friends for a long time. They were playing the same club circuit with their respective bands, Danger Danger and Trixter, when both bands were starting their careers. Over the years, they've had a great personal relationship and the idea of doing a record together has been in the cards for many years. Now, thanks to Frontiers this concept has become a reality.

To say that I’m excited for the world to hear TOKYO MOTOR FIST would be an understatement,” says Steve Brown. “Working on this project with my Rock and Roll Brothers Ted Poley, Greg Smith & Chuck Burgi was a total blast….We had fun and it shows in the performances and in the music! As a songwriter I couldn’t be happier with the way the songs came together. Fans of TRIXTER, DANGER DANGER, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Cheap Trick will get the best of all those worlds.”

Ted Poley adds: “Working with guys of this caliber was amazing. I was excited to collaborate with my long time friend Steve Brown, who is not only a really great songwriter and guitarist but also an insanely cool producer! The band sounds great and very high energy. The vocals of Steve and I along with his SHREDDING guitar, combined with the World Class rhythm Powerhouse section of Greg Smith and Chuck Burgi is amazing, what a cool band - the sound is HUGE. But it’s the songs that drew me into making this album in the beginning and the record is full of catchy songs with massive choruses and great melodies and sounds BIG BIG BIG! I am beyond THRILLED with the final result and I hope you will be too.”

Beefy and energetic, “Tokyo Motor Fist” is sure to please not only Ted Poley, Danger Danger, and Trixter's fans, but all fans of melodic hard rock. Don't miss this superb release!

PJ FARLEY to Release Solo Debut on MelodicRock Records

Artist:
Friday, May 20, 2016
Categories:
News Feed

MelodicRock Records is very proud to announce a partnership with Trixter bassist P.J. FARLEY for the release of his debut solo album ‘Boutique Sound Frames’, due for release worldwide May 20.

‘Boutique Sound Frames’ is an outstanding musical statement from a dynamic singer/songwriter, who dives into 11 modern melodic rock tracks guaranteed to stay on high rotation in the months ahead.

P.J. describes the album he’s spent over a decade writing:

“I wrote and recorded these songs over the years alongside any band I was in at the time. I felt that the songs weren’t a good fit for any of those bands at that point. These songs are a lot more personal and I guess I always felt at some point I would release a solo record based on the nature of the lyrics.”

“They all came from a very genuine place creatively speaking. That there was no set goal with them enabled me to just write whatever I was feeling at the time, without having any pressure to conform to any certain mold, genre or label chirping. It took 12 years or so, haha, but a wise man once said, ‘If it’s good enough, it doesn’t matter when it comes out’”.

Well, it’s finally coming out May 20 and you can pre-order today! All pre-orders will receive a limited edition sticker of the album cover as well as getting the disc shipped ahead of the official release date.

P.J. FARLEY started his professional career as a musician at the ripe old age of 16 as the bass player for Trixter (www.trixterrocks.com). The band signed its first major label record deal with MCA Records in 1989. Trixter went on to sell well over 1 million records and had 3 #1 videos on MTV. They toured with bands like Kiss, Poison, Scorpions, Warrant and more.
P.J. has played just about every arena/theater/outdoor pavilion and club all over the world.

In 2002 P.J joined up with Active Rock chart toppers RA (Universal/Republic) in which he embarked on the 2nd chapter of his recording and touring career. Sneaking into the Modern Hard Rock genre and touring with bands like Staind, Seether and Sevendust , P.J. was able to remain relevant and creative in the music business while Trixter took a 13 year hiatus.

In 2009 P.J. was asked to join up with Lita Ford and toured worldwide with her for almost 4 years, along with a number of short stints with other artists such as
Ours, Jimmy Gnecco and Deepfield.
All along this timeframe, P.J. had been quietly recording songs. Writing, performing all instruments and producing. Those songs have become a cohesive collection that now make up his debut solo album titled ‘Boutique Sound Frames’.

This is just one of those albums that is set to please just about everyone. Fans of old-school 80s melodic hard rock, fans of great anthemic, kick-ass tunes with a good production and fans of great classic era music that doesn’t sound dated.
Trixter follow up the success of New Audio Machine with arguably one of the best ever records.
It’s just a whole lot of fun to listen to.
Huge production, big guitars, big songs and big attitude.

The guys just get better and better. Taking the party rock vibe of their early days and mixing it with a more mature retrospective attitude to their songwriting, Human Era mixes the best of both worlds, giving you some kick-ass hands in the air tunes that a 40 year old wouldn’t be embarrassed pumping out of the car stereo.

Rockin’ To The Edge Of The Night and the riff heavy, double timed Crash That Party are two fist pumping hard rockers to kick off this album in big style.
Not Like All the Rest mixes Steve Brown’s penchant for modern rock with old-school 80s rock for a sweet anthemic hybrid.
For You is 80s Van Halen before a contender for Song Of The Year blows my mind. The sentimental melodic rocker Every Second Counts features everything I love about this music. Modern, classic, melodic…
The following track is just as essential. Beats Me Up is a beautiful new-meets-old, hands in the air stadium ballad.
And it just continues with the harmony drenched mi-tempo melodic rock anthem Good Times Now and the moodier, darker Midnight in Your Eyes and the rapid fire 80s rock of All Night Long.
Soul of a Lovin' Man is a cool edgier, gritty rocker and then the album is closed in perfect class with the moodier, more melodic and reflective title track Human Era.

Others may have a more sentimental attachment to the band’s debut or earlier work, but for me – this is their best album to date and shows a refined maturity mixed with the classy side of 80s melodic hard rock.
It’s a super fun and thoroughly enjoyable album and the band deserve big credit for the results.
Fans from all walks of life are going to enjoy this – it might even be the first ever Trixter purchase for some.

TRIXTER Return With New Album “HUMAN ERA”
Coming This June on Frontiers Music Srl

Frontiers Music Srl is thrilled to announce the release of the new studio album from good-time rock n’ rollers, TRIXTER entitled “Human Era” on June 5th in Europe and June 9th in North America.

Following on the heels of the successful comeback album, New Audio Machine - a record chock full of rocking anthems -, TRIXTER are returning stronger than ever. “After the success of our last album, New Audio Machine, we felt more confident than ever in making another top notch album. I’m so proud to say that after more than 25 years of making records, TRIXTER is getting better and better. "Human Era" will show the world this band at it's finest,” says lead guitarist Steve Brown.

The new album sees TRIXTER sticking to their guns and delivering 11 new choice cuts, with a sound reminiscent of their earlier work which they were well known for in the ‘90s. For fans new to Trixter, their sound fits in nicely to an album collection next to Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Van Halen, AC/DC and even 70's classic rock mainstays.

Northern New Jersey’s TRIXTER’s self-titled debut album (1990) spawned three monster hit singles/videos with “Give It To Me Good”, “One in a Million” and “Surrender”, as well as an RIAA-certified Gold album. TRIXTER has toured extensively in the United States, Canada and Japan. They have performed in arenas and amphitheaters and have appeared live on numerous television and radio programs such as Entertainment Tonight, Pay-Per-View, VH-1, MTV, Z-Rock and MetalShop. TRIXTER has shared the stage with such rock heavyweights as Kiss, Boston, Scorpions, Poison, Cinderella, Warrant, Slaughter, Winger, Skid Row, Firehouse, Stryper, Dokken and more. The band recently nabbed the #29 spot on VH-1’s “Top 40 Hair Bands of All Time” countdown.

“Almost 30 years together and the band is tighter than ever! We are family and that makes everything we do more and more special. The title track HUMAN ERA really sheds insight into our story,” concludes Steve Brown.
