Frontiers Music Srl is excited to announce the release of JORN’s brand new live album & video, “Live on Death Road” June 14.
Recorded at the Frontiers Rock Festival 2018, this performance was captured when Jorn headlined the second night of the festival. Lande performed with a great band featuring long time members Tore More on guitar, Sid Ringsby on bass, producer/keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio, and not one, but two drummers: Beata Polak and Francesco Jovino (Primal Fear).
The tracklisting is certainly special and includes some timeless songs spanning the entire 20-year career of JORN. From “Sunset Station”, included on the “real” international debut “Worldchanger”, to absolute classics such as “Out to Every Nation,” “Stormcrow,” and “Lonely Are the Brave”. Some surprises are there too, such as “Walking on Water” from the Dracula Rock Opera and of course unmissable cover versions of “The Mob Rules” (Black Sabbath) and “Ride Like the Wind” (Christopher Cross).
All in all, this is another unmissable celebration of the talents of the Norwegian vocal god and a powerful testimony to a unique artist who offers an unbelievable live show here.
In the past two years, Hardline has performed a number of shows across Europe, including festivals and more intimate gigs, and that live “energy” can certainly be felt on their new studio album. The band went back to 1992's “Double Eclipse” album for influence for the songs on this record, but additionally they also looked a little closer in the rearview at the tremendous predecessor to this album, “Human Nature”.
The resulting album, LIFE, perfectly blends the influences of those two albums and sees Hardline heavier, stronger, bigger, and better than ever. The band entered the studio feeling loose and relaxed from all their gigging. The two newest members, Marco Di Salvia on drums and Mario Percudani on guitar, had gelled seamlessly with the rest of the band from all those shows and combined with Anna Portalupi's pulsating rhythms and Alessandro Del Vecchio's songwriting and production abilities, LIFE was almost effortless for the band to create. And of course, Johnny Gioeli sings like only he can over top of these incredible musicians.
LIFE will be released April 26, 2019 on CD/LP/Digital.
More live dates will be forthcoming for the band, including a performance on April 27th at the Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan, IT.
Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of new project featuring singer Steve Overland of FM and Robert Säll of Work of Art & W.E.T. under the moniker GROUNDBREAKER.
The self-titled debut will be released on September 14th. First single and video, "Over My Shoulder” available now!
The album is simply everything that a melodic rock fan could hope for: soaring hooklines, magnificent melodies, amazing musical performances, and in Overland, a stunning vocalist. Mixing the British and Swedish melodic rock/AOR styles, Groundbreaker is truly the best of both worlds and surely destined to be one of the highlights of the year in an already stellar year for melodic rock!
GROUNDBREAKER came about when a conversation between Frontiers’ President Serafino Perugino and Overland revealed that the latter was eager to collaborate with new and exciting musicians from the European melodic rock scene. The idea was immediately brought up to involve Robert Sall of Work of Art and use Alessandro Del Vecchio’s production abilities. Overland loved the initial material that was submitted and consequently, they all started to work on songs. The process was very smooth and the final result was so good that everyone thought that the name “GROUNDBREAKER” was the right way to describe the power and the vibe of the music.
"I’m the main composer for about half of the songs, but Ale and Steve wrote a lot as well,” tells Robert Sall. “I had to write songs with Steve´s voice in mind and that was new, but very inspiring to me. But for any fan of FM or Work of Art, I think they will be very familiar with the sound of this record!”
“The idea for the album was to make a classic AOR album and I think between Robert, Alessandro, Pete Alpenborg and myself, we came up with a great collection of songs,” adds Overland. "I think this is some of the best material I've worked on in a while and all of the musicians on the record are fantastic, not only as players, but to work with. I knew of Robert's writing talents on the Work of Art records, but it really turned out to be a great collaboration and I'm so proud of the results! My personal favourite song on the record is "Will It Make You Love Me.” We’ve shot a video for it and I think it's truly a future classic!"
If you like, no LOVE melodic rock, then this is simply a must hear album!
Ted Poley and Frontiers are pleased to announce that they have partnered up for the release of another solo album from the singer.
Ted is currently hard at work in Sweden on this still untitled effort. This time around, the Danger Danger singer has partnered up with some incredibly talented Swedish musicians, namely Mats Ericsson, Micke Jansson, Daniel Johansson, and Robin Ericsson (on additional vocals).
"You might know some of those guys other musical work as the band degreed,” says Ted “I am also getting some vocal layering with the help of my good friend, the Italian Stallion of Vocals, Alessandro Delvecchio. The album is being co-Produced by Mats Ericsson and myself in Kopperberg, Sweden.”
Ted continues, "After almost 40 years of recording and releasing music, I wanted to stretch out a little bit musically and I am proud to say that I have come up with a MAGICAL combination of amazing musicians and songs! The songs are awesome, and the musicianship will BLOW YOU AWAY. Every one of the players are MASTERS of their instruments and you might hear just a hint of modern prog interlaced with my usual catchy choruses this time around! This is going to be my favorite solo album ever and an album that I felt I HAD to make. And I am so happy with the results so far!”
More news as it becomes available!
Ted Poley will also appear live at this years Rockingham Live with his project with Steve Brown of TRIXTER, Tokyo Motor Fist. http://www.rockinghamlive.com/

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of ISSA's brand new album, “Run With the Pack" on April 20th! Today, ISSA has unveiled the first single and video, "Come Back Again" from the new album.
“Run With the Pack” is ISSA’s fifth studio album, another quality outing of classic Melodic Rock/AOR with huge vocals, layers of keyboards and massive guitars. Reminiscent of bands such as HEART and SARAYA, with a 21st century production and great songwriting and arrangements, this time ISSA goes in a heavier and more rocking direction. "Run With The Pack" also offers a special treat in the form of a duet with Deen Castronovo (Revolution Saints, The Dead Daisies, ex-Journey) on the beautiful song “Sacrifice Me”.
Issa says. “I really can't wait for everybody to hear this album, it's been a real labour of love. This album has taken me back to my roots. The feel of the songs are just what got me into music in the first place. The album has got it all - edgy, dark and full of attitude on one hand, but also the classic larger than life ballads which I love so much. I've been very privileged to sing a duet with Deen Castronovo and there are some really great songwriters who contributed to the record! When I get asked what my favourite song is I really don't know... you decide!!!!"
Helped by producer, and keyboard player, Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Jorn) and some killer musicians such as Simone Mularoni (DGM) on guitar, Marco Di Salvia (Kee of Hearts) on drums, Andrea “ToWer" Torricini (Vision Divine) on bass, Issa has crafted a superb album which offers soaring and instantly likeable hooklines, solid guitar riffs and a crisp sound. This album is going to be a 2018 Melodic Rock Album of the Year contender!

In designing this supergroup, the powers that be could have gone two ways – the Damn Yankees melodic hard rock route, with a more prominent role for Jack Blades’ vocals; or the Journeyesque AOR/melodic rock route, which is what this sounds like.
With superstar drummer and vocalist Deen Castronovo taking on the vast majority of all vocals, Revolution Saints offers Journey fans something with a little more bite.
I would have preferred a Damn Yankees model – where members wrote the songs and were fully utilized and the band had their own identity.
Revolution Saints is very much Deen and Alessandro Del Vecchio’s baby and while once again Alessandro has crafted a strong set of melodic rock friendly songs and a big production, there doesn’t appear to be much of Jack Blades’ personality on here past the opening anthem Light In The Dark.
Doug Aldrich shreds and riffs like the magician he is, but this is Deen’s record. Damn the boy can sing! Whether it’s the uptempo anthemic material or the slow, resolute ballads, Deen gives Steve Perry a run for his money.
Highlights include the perfect stadium anthem Light In The Dark, the slow dark and moody Freedom, the exquisite Journeyesque ballads Wouldn’t Change A Thing and Can’t Run Away From Love, the harder edge of rockers Take You Down and The Storm Inside.
The new album is far more uptempo than the debut, but I still probably prefer that release as the rockers here are good – but there are times where I find my attention drifting when some of the songs tend to sound very similar.
Overall, this can be described as another great slice of European produced melodic rock – even if the 3 principle musicians are all Americans. It doesn’t push any boundaries, but it’s not meant to. The sole purpose of Revolution Saints is to deliver a Journey friendly album of commercial 80s style melodic rock and let Deen sing his heart out. That is delivered with ease and for that reason, fans will love this record.
For all the criticism Frontiers Records gets for their multitude of thrown together projects (from me also on occasion), you must admit that there’s more winners overall than failures.
And the idea of The Poodles vocalist Jakob Samuel fronting any project gets my attention. I’m a huge fan of his voice and adding newcomer Michael Palace together with Pontus Egberg and Robban Back does seem like a pretty appealing lineup.
So does this one work? Yes, the label has enlisted Mr. everywhere Alessandro Del Vecchio to produce and write this project, but you know what – he’s good at what he does and I’m pleased to say all the tracks on this album are co-written with Jakob, so his personality is all over it too. As expected it is a familiar European melodic rock sound, but its expertly produced and mixed and I think the songs for the most part do the job nicely.
This is essentially a melodic rock and AOR version of The Poodles. It rocks throughout – a nice uptempo pace is kept going from start to finish apart from the classy piano ballad Knowing Both Of Us. What appeals to me most is the AOR anthems featured – Keep The Dream Alive, Fallen Angels, This Is The Moment and One Soul are cracking high energy AOR songs.
Sounds great, looks great….big production and big melodic rock sound. This project is a winner and I’d imagine a sequel has already been booked in.
REVOLUTION SAINTS—Deen Castronovo (ex-Journey, Bad English), Doug Aldrich (The Dead Daisies, ex-Whitesnake, DIO), Jack Blades (Night Ranger, Damn Yankees)—released the third video, “I Wouldn’t Change A Thing,” from their highly anticipated second album.
It was directed by Maurizio Del Piccolo of Moviedel, and it was shot at Villa Bossi in Bodio Lomnago, Varese, Italy.
“I Wouldn't Change A Thing" was originally written by Richard Page from Mr. Mister,” says Castronovo, “and Serafino wanted us to do it our way. The first time I heard it, I got a bit choked up. It’s a beautiful ballad that Doug got a hold of and put his stamp on it.”
"The song was filmed at magnificent historic home outside of Milano, Italy,” Aldrich continues. “It was a rainy day and really had a great vibe for the video. We spent most of the day going for the basic shots and the actors did the love scenes later. There was some steamy stuff going on in the script and I decided it was a bit too racy for me, so I decided to help the chef with his pesto sauce! It is a beautiful song and a nice video. I was very happy about how the solo guitar worked and Deen just shines!!"
LIGHT IN THE DARK is due out October 13 on Frontiers Music Srl, and will be available on CD, CD/DVD Deluxe Edition (includes live bonus tracks on the CD and on the DVD, footage from the band’s first-ever live performance captured at Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan this past April, a “Making Of” mini-documentary, and music videos for “Light In The Dark” and “I Wouldn’t Change A Thing”), Vinyl, and as a special Limited Edition Box Set (includes the Deluxe Edition CD/DVD, 180g Vinyl, T-shirt (size L), poster, lithograph and sticker). LIGHT IN THE DARK builds off the classic melodic rock style of the debut, but fans should prepare for a somehow even more inspired set and a few (pleasant) surprises. Inspiring, uplifting, emotionally powerful, and thoughtful, this album WILL be the soundtrack to many a moment in your life.
